Born in Northamptonshire and adapted from Dr. Klaus Maertens’ design in Munich, Dr. Martens is laced with a rich history of tradition and innovation.

Initially worn as a workwear boot, the brand took off and was championed as British working-class style with a rebellious attitude. From ska to punk and grunge to Britpop, the brand’s identity within music shifted DMs as a once functional boot to a symbol of self expression.

At the centre of any Dr. Martens rotation is the eight-hold 1460 boot. This was the first DM crafted by the Griggs family, with its name taken from the date of inception, 1st April 1960.

With a huge range of silhouettes and colourways, like the Thurston Chukka and the Crewson Buck, every pair of DMs is highlighted with its signature yellow welt stitch, the two-tone groove sole edge and the unique outsole pattern, as well as the ‘Airwair’ black and yellow heel loop.
