For over 90 years, Lacoste has been at the forefront of British culture and fashion. The brand’s roots can be traced back to 1923 when French professional tennis player René Lacoste lost a bet for a crocodile skin suitcase. Originally developed as a sports shirt for tennis, the material was a lot more breathable than the regular shirts, meaning players would sweat less.
