Combining elements of the fan-favourite Chuck Taylor with a moulded platform base and a grippy rubber outsole, the Converse Run Star Hike has firmly cemented itself as one of the most sought-after styles on the footwear scene. The iconic sneakers, which resulted from a collaboration between Converse and luxury fashion brand JW Anderson, dropped in 2019 to capitalise on the resurgence of interest in bold, retro-like designs. However, Run Star Hike shoes are not only visually attractive but also practical. Their larger size comes with an extra layer of cushioning (a SmartFOAM sock liner and OrthoLite insole), and winged stitching on the tongue provides increased durability. Initially, the trainers were only available as high tops, but later releases have made them purchasable as lows, too.
