Women’s New Balance 327 trainers take the old and add some new, drawing inspiration from classic running shoes of the ’70s. When designer Charlotte Lee began the creative process for the 327, she dived into the archives and reworked the elements of past sneakers that she thought would enhance the overall product. The bold ‘N’ logo was taken from the 320, the lugs from the Trail 355, and with the addition of a tread pattern for extra grip, the eye-catching wedge silhouette was a success. Women now had a brand-new pair of runners to lace up, which provided that retro feel with the added benefit of having modern design elements to maximise performance and comfort.
